Hello everyone. I read all posts pertaining to headlight motors/gears/relays. This is the problem I'm having. My gear in my headlight motor (Large nylon one)85 vette is burned out. It's almost if the worm gear keeps driving when the nylon one's stopped.I've had the car for a year and a half now and this will be the second time replacing this gear.I was wondering if there are some relays that I need to replace and if so,where are they located?I read something on one of the posts about there being 3 relays on the early motors.I just want to fix anything wrong before I put it all back together. The motor works fine,I just think that there is another problem besides the bad gear? Thanks to everyone who reads this and can be of any help.....3tt3vman

It sounds like the limit switches in the motor are bad.
Repair or replace the motor.
