headlight motor install help!!

OK so I have installed the drivers side headlight motor and door . . .perfect . . .now I get to the other side . . door is installed but the motor will not line up with the shaft except when the door is open!! The slot in the headlight motor is about 90 degrees off compared to the other side . . what's up!? The doors must be closed when there is no power to the motors correct? Help!!!

No, it sounds like the motor is just in a different position. Bolt the motor in with the brace and cycle the headlights everything should be ok. The motors are not syncronized, one may be slower by a little.

Disconnect the wire on the one and operate the other to match. They won't ever stay exactly matched but you can start them out together.:L
