headlight squeek

one of the front headlights squeeks when it goes down. it doesn't upon going up. What can I lube or check to stop this problem?

also if one of them is not flush with the body can I turn the machanical adjustment to make it flush? will the setting stay after they go up and down?

HI there,
Yes, you can lubricate the hinges, and the pivot point on the linkage to the motor.
As for the installed height, there is not really a motor adjustment, only a stop adjustment.
You can see the rubber bumpers on the motor assembly. They are white, and will most likely be worn, and require replacement.
$1.50 plus tax for the bumpers.
