Hi folks.
Have a problem with the full beam light in the cluster. Always blue light shining even when on low. Anyone had the same problem? Looked everywhere and cant find the cause and my last idea is to get a new relay and see if that might help.

Thanks and regards from Norway

Is a connection loose that would cause this? When I had my Firebird I converted to the LS1 style front end and when we hooked up the new headlights the wires were backwards so my hi-beam indicator would come on when I had my lo-beams on, haha.

Here's the schematic for the headlights and the high beam indicator. If the low beam and high beam lights work properly and the only thing wrong is the dash high beam indicator staying lit, the CCM (Centrol Control Module) is probably bad.

To see if the CCM can control the High beam indicator, do the following test.
Place the CCM in diagnostic mode by shorting Pin A to Pin G. Diagnostic conector is located above the drivers right knee.

[F|E|D|C|B|A]
[G|H|J|K|L|M]

Turn the ignition on. Look at the dash cluster LCD. It will cycle and display any error codes for the CCM, ECM and ABS.

When the display stops.
Press the Trip/ODO button until 1.4 is shown.
Press the ENG/MET button until the identifying number for the item to be cycled is shown in the first two digits of the odometer. If it's necessary to go backwards in the list use the Fuel/Info button.

The status of the output being cycled is shown as a O for Off or a 1 for On in the last digit of the odometer. The output status cycles between On and Off every three seconds.

Have no codes indicating anything wrong with the CCM. Still, it's always a chance so i take another look.

Regards

The CCM does not monitor if the high beam indicator is working or not so there is no error code if the circuit is defective.
