The "Heartbeat of the Heartland" tour kicks off today in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Heartbeat in the Heartland Tour 2005 is a traveling exhibit to introduce and showcase the Corvette and the passion enthusiasts have for the Corvette and the National Corvette Museum. Check out http://www.corvettemuseum.com/heartbeat/ for background info.
City Chevrolet is hosting the first stop on the tour. There will be a slide/move presentation and display of a C5.R and a Corvette 'safety car'. Wendell Strode, Director of the NCM, will be the guest speaker.
Oh, there is food also available.
The cars will be on display at City Chevrolet by 10AM and will remain on display until everyone is gone at the end of the day. The tour presentation starts at 5:30 PM.
So, if you're in the OKC area and want to learn more about the National Corvette Museum, come on out. (don't let a little rain stop you!)
