Does anyone else notice that there seems to be a lot of heat on your legs with the heat off in the car. It seems as if it is coming from the engine. I have the setting on the heater control all the way over to the right before windshield heat but it SEEMS as if it is coming from the engine. Anyone else notice this?

Yes. That is what we get for riding in a big thermos :w

The C3's are worse especially with headers or sidepipes.

Yep. I noticed that with my '92 and '96. The cats are right next to the foot well and heat the area pretty good. My ex '92 is a little better now that the cats are empty hulls!

I put in some heat shielding under the carpet and it helped some, I'm not sure it helped 150 bucks worth though.

On my 85 I used the Thermal Wrap tape around the exhaust works quite well along with the thermal blanket I put down when I replaced the carpet.
Haven't tried it on my 96 yet

A hot foot box is the price we pay on almost any V8 driven sports car. My 96 gets especially hot after setting a few minutes after a long drive. Some Ford replicars, like the 60's era Daytona have vents and fans to take the sizzle out of their tootsies (it just proves that Ford guys are pussies!):boogie
