Heater Blower Motor (hose)

The heater blower moter located under the right fender on the firewall has a black rubber elbow hose connected to its housing. The othter end is open.

What's this supposed to be connected to?

If its the one Like on my 81,it should connect right under where the blower motor mounts.It helps keep the motor cool when running...
