To day when i started my 2005 C6 the digits in the control panel only showed two dots. But after the car have been parked two hour i started it again and everything looked fine again. but after a while all digits begin flashing (the back light was not flashing only the digits). Anyone that know if must buy a new Heater control unit? Or what is wrong (It looks very expensive);help

Hi there,

I am not sure if you have an export car or even if it makes a difference in the climate control or not.

I can check on Tuesday when I get back to work, but it seems like a control head issue.

Yes it is built for the European market Germany. Thank you c4c5 for the help, i found new control unit on ebay but not sure if it is the same on european car because we have temperature in Celcius and US have in Farenheit.

Do you think the unit is broken or can it depend on some other equipment that make it failing?

Hi there,

Honestly, I would start with a computer module check, in which all modules are scanned for diagnostic trouble codes.

That should be the first course of action, because that control head is on the communications line.

Thanks for your help c4c5! I do not trust the local technican here. I have the car in for service last year it was three thing i wanted them to fix none of them was completed they even failed to initiate the wheel sensors. I think i buy a new control unit and try change it by may self.

Hello C4c5specialist
To day they scanned trouble codes, B3748 was set but it was unknown to their Tech II. do you know wat taht is?

Best regards

HI there,

That has to do with an actuator, NOT the communications system.

I would clear it and see if the code returns.

Are there any other codes in any other system module?????

No that was the only code he told me. He was talking about maybe bulletin #PIC4772B but could not know, the repair shop are no longer authorized for GM.

best regards
Magnus

Error code B1000

I have taken the car to authorized GM service thay pulled error code B1000. He think it is AC controlpanel that is failing.
