Well I finally bypassed the heater core. The day I started it was around 6pm I thought no problem everyone say's this is so easy shouldn't take long. I found the hoses at the firewall and removed them from the metal pipes. As I staired at the limited space I was going to have to fit a 5/8 and 3/4 hose into to splice together I started thinking (this isn't going to be so easy). I took a trip to the closest auto parts store and of course they didn't have ****. I bought a 5/8 plastic elbow and a 5/8 to 3/4 adapter and some 5/8 hose and 3/4 hose. As I got home it was starting to get dark, and I have no garage. I began trying to fit all this **** into a tiny area with exterme bends in the hoses. I then saw were there was a easier place to splice (on the other end of the metal pipes). I spliced it there and it was done...I thought..I topped off the radiator and took it for a test ride. I shortly found out that the 3/4 hose had a small tube going into it up by the blower module and it put a small stream of antifreeze out the open end of the 3/4 pipe. So I put it back the way it was and started to try and figure out how I was going to bypass this thing with what I had. By now it is pitch dark and I am working with a flash light..lol Now I am a Paramedic not a Mechanic, but I have a good head on my shoulders and can usually figure almost anything out. I decided to stop and wait until the next day. The next day I decided I didn't have the right parts so I had a plan and went to a different parts store looking for some different adapters to make this elaborate contraptions with elbows and splices and what not..lol Well that fell throught straight off (they didn't have what I wanted) I noticed (with no help from the employee there) preformed radiator hoses and I asked if they had smaller sized ones...To wrap this long winded thing up they had a 3/4 L shaped hose and a 5/8 U. I got them home put them together and in less the 5 min the ordeal was over....lol Looking back it wasn't that hard if I would have been looking for the right parts to begin with. Now I have been driving the car again and Knock on wood everything seems to be great. Thanks to everyone that lended a helping word..............Scott

Glad you got it. Sometimes you have to think out of the box. I bet Home Depot has some sort of coupler to couple 3/4 to 1/2, might have been close enough?
Doesn't matter now, you have it fixed! Go drive.

The first time I do a repair, its "discovery" time. The second time I do the same repair its much easier.
