Off and on I noticed that when I'd start my 1990 coupe with the automatic heat & A/C control, the display would show "- -" and the fan would be at full speed auto setting. I couldn't change the fan nor the temp setting, and the "- -" wouldn't clear. Come to find out it was because I had plugged my cell phone charger into the cigarette lighter socket, then started the car. If I do the reverse and start the car THEN plug in the charger, it works just fine with full control over everything, and the last-used heater setting returns. Just thought it was an interesting "mystery" and that possibly other had found this to be the case or might be having the same problem and it might help. Tim
