Not sure, but some models have a small water line near the EGR port/dist area, in the rear of the intake that runs over to the heater control valve where it merges with the water return line.
I took the control valve out. This leaves the core with 2 fittings, and 2 heater hoses near the a/c compressor. A simple matter to fill in the gap with barbed fittings made to join 2 pieces of hose together. One side has the 5/8 hose and the core nipple will be larger so you know which is which. The other is 1/2".
On one or the other, install a "T" with the appropiate reducers to get down to the size of the small water line from the back of the intake...3/8 I think.
This allows water to flow thru the core all the time. Mine is wired to circulate full time and has not been a problem as far as cold air being available inside the cabin. I was more concerned with keeping the core wet to prevent it from rusting/rotting out.
You CAN bypass the core altogether and just loop the heater hoses together with the T fitting so the 3rd small hose has a place. That eliminates the core and risk it drying out causing some repairs (non-fun repairs) somewhere down the road.
This is'nt free...you have to buy some brass fittings, some heater hose, some hose clamps and have a few tools. Not as much as a new control valve but not a $5 fix either....(to do right)
