Hi all, found this site trying to find information on a couple of corvettes that I am interested in buying. And since it has been awhile since I have had a corvette , my knowledge of the vettes I am interested in has escaped me :) It seems that this forum is the authority for corvettes, as are the other forums on different interests that I am a member of. So, be gentle ;) and if you could help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am currently looking at a 1992 LT-1 and 1994 basic coupe which the seller advertises as "310 bhp". My question is..... what, if any are the performance differences between the 2? I tried finding a link to show performance specs; ie, BHP, 0-60, 1/4 mi, & top speed, but no luck. Thanks for any help.

Hello Ken, Yes actually i did, however I could not find anything usefull....... or I am not navigating it correctly. ;shrug

Power was the same for both '92 and '94 at 300 horsepower at 5000 rpm and I assume the torque remained the same at 330 lbs. ft. at 4000 rpm.

The performance figures I can't help you with. :(

Thaks for the info Ken, I guess if thre are not glaring differences between the 2 years, that it would be smart to go with the newer 94 in order to take advantage of 2 years worth of refinements........ I have had enuf heartaches dealing with FIRST year releases, and new motor's of many different automotive purchases :eek , if ya know what i mean :(

The LT1 was rated the same (300hp/330#-ft) from 92-96.

If newer is better for you then pick a 95/96 car - latest OptiSpark (less moisture problems) and big brakes standard.

Otherwise, the LT1 performance is the same in production form for 92-96.

You can find motor specs here in the CAC by clicking the "Tech Center" tab and then the "Model Center" link. Check out the year of car and scroll down to motor specs.
