Help?? Engine Codes

I am trying to check engine codes on my 82 Vette. The book says under your ash tray is a 12 Terminal connector. Hook a jumper between "A" & "B' terminal.. My question is which are Terminal "A" & "B" ???????

OK, haven't done this on a vette, but on a 1990 454ss, Go to Auto zone, they will give you a key, and ask for the book for the key. They are free and your haynes manual or that free book I told you about will tell you the codes. Hope that is what you needed. I got tired of the computer and pulled the whole thing in favor of a 750 dp with a huge intake! Good luck!!
