Help ! Hood Hinge Problem.

I have a problem with my 1984 Corvette hood hinge. There are two hinges at the front of the hood with two studs and nuts on each hinge. The two studs broke off on one hinge and Chevrolet says they are part of the hood and not replaceable without replacing the whole hood (ouch!). I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with a C-4 and could offer any suggestions, and/or body shops. Thanks, RBG.

I just took a mirror and a flashlight and looked inside the hole of mine. It looks like a bolt on the other side. Perhaps if you drilled out that four rivits on the panel you could remove the panel and get access to the bolts. You could always do a Bubba repair...
