I have a 2003 Z06 and i want to put a cam in it to get a little more horse and a nice cam sound.

I dont want to go huge where the car barely idles or almost dies out but i would like a noticible lope.

What cam would you guys reccommend? Where is the best place to get it? anbd how hard is it to install one on these C5's.

thanks guys

I believe your cam is 204/218 duration. I can tell you for a point of reference that I have a 233/239 and I would not call it streetable.
A friend has a 224/228 in an LS1 and he can barely pass Canada emissions with some tuning. It sounds like a real cam. I would not go any bigger than that if you have to pass emissions.
If you have experience, the install is probably a good weekend project.
Like any V8 Chev, the rockers, oil pan, and timing chain are the big part of the work. You have to remove the oil pump from the front of the engine, there is no easy way without dropping the oil pan. Yea, it's a big job.

ive rebuilt motors and installed a cam on a chev 350 before so i think i hould be ok, thanks for the tips and advice
