Well i bought new rotars and just jumped in without consulting anyone. I started at the left rear and when i tried to remove the rotar a big v shaped clip flew out. I completely disregarded the emergency brake and the active ride. Now the rotar is half off and won't go back on. Can anyone help or is it dealer time?
Thanks

That V clip holds on your parking brake shoes. The shop manual says to remove the hub to remove and replace the clip and shoes. You can reinstall the clip with the hub in place, but you need to know how it goes on and have a lot of patience. Try tapping the rotor back on a little and turn and twist and see if it comes loose. The parking brake lever needs to be off.

i managed to get it back on but without the clip. the shoes were coming off with the rotar and seemed wedged in place. i've pushed the rotor back on and it turns freely but several attempts to pull it back off didn't work. I don't know whether to keep trying or give up. Is there any way to adjust the emerg. brake and back the pads off?
Thanks for the response.

The adjuster for the park brake shoes is on the lower right side for the left rear wheel. The adjuster is inside the rotor, between the shoes. Turn the adjuster wheel all the way in, if you can access it. I have always done this with the rotor off. Try turning the rotor by hand and pull at the same time and see if you can work the rotor off the shoes.

Well thanks for the advice. It took awhile but i got the rotor off and replaced the spring. Changed the rotors out to drilled and slotted.
