Hello C3ers, I drive my Vette almost every day and she was running great yesterday, well this morning I get in and start warming her up and every thing seem fine ,but when I put it in gear the idle dropped to about 600 ,normally it is at 750. So I thought it may be still cold , drove it to the gas station after filling up put it in gear, now down to 450 , crawled home and parked her . After work I will stop and get a PVC valve, it also has a new fuel pump and filter, pleases any help would be great
Thx crow

Because there can be a number of things causing this, you need to help out by giving the members a little more information. Is the carb, choke and ignition system aftermarket or stock?

It could be as simple as the vacuum line to your distributor advance fell off or is cracked, but not knowing any details about the motor will certainly impede any good responses.

Give us more details. We now know you have an automatic transmission and the fuel pump and filter have been replaced. Who did the work on the car? You or a shop? Is the motor stock or modified? When's the last time you tuned it up? What else has happened to it recently?

Your right GWHITE75 I was a little vaque, the car is bone stock but it has a electronic converation , I have recs from last owner and the carb was rebuild about 2 years ago , the fuel pump and filter was done at a shop . I have not done a tune-up because it has ran so good and starts on the first bump . I will be checking it out tonight when I get home for loose vacuum lines etc...
hope this gives a little more light on the subject
Thx crow

well checked every thing out and it looked good , ran fine this morning , who knows maybe it was the dew point lol
