I have a 96 LT-1. Never had a day's problem. Go to sell and the day of sale car takes 6 tries to start. Once started the ASR warning ASR Off light comes on and stays on along with the Service Engine light. After starting runs great.
Turn off, starts right back up for about 5 minutes wait any longer and 5 -6 tries to start again.

Husband, (who really knows nada about vette engines) put diagnostic computer on, codes showed - (3) 2 were about running too lean the other said something about timing too few pulses.

Any one know what I can do?

It's difficult to offer any useful information without the code numbers.

If you are considering DIY repairs, your best bet is to obtain the factory service manual, look up the codes your Husband got in Section 6E: Engine Controls, then follow the directions in the diagnostic information.

Hib is right about getting the manuals but, of course, since you're selling it, that's probably pointless (but a good selling perk!). When my 96 LT4 coded with "too few pulses" it was the optispark. Let me guess . . . did you get the engine detailed or washed recently?? Water is the opti's worst enemy!
