2003 Convertible engine noise:

no progress on repair. it seems as though the gm customer service number (1 800 222 1020) should be written on charmin toilet paper. talked to 6 different people on this matter, 2 of them promised and gave their word to call back. one of them was almost 2 weeks ago and the other will be 7 days tomorrow. i have called and left voice messages for the past 2 days and no returned calls! what a hell of a way to take care of a $52,000 defective product.

My question is : does anyone have a different number to help me get this issue fixed? i am desperate and hate to go import on all new purchases.

If it were me I would be calling dealers (tell them youv'e already talked to all the dealers your'e going to), and ask for the district, regional, and/or factory service managers number to make an appointment. That's step 1. Then start up the ladder all the way to Bowling Green. Step 2, be a pest, they all hope you will get fed up and have it fixed somewhere else and go away.
Once I went so far as to write a letter to the president of Pontiac Motor Division (had a GTO--never own another plentycrap), boy did that get action.
