Hi guys,
Thanks for all the helpful advice.. thought I"d put a few pics up to show her off..
I'm so in love with this machine that my boyfriend is jealous!!

WOW! What a buzz, bought my first vette & jumped in for a 2000km road trip home with my dad!! She drives like a dream and just purrs along at 100!! (kms that is!)
The only trouble I had was when I hit those nice big flat open straights out in the remote highways... well, I had to see what she'd do!! Got upto 180 or so (110 Mph) before she blew a radiator hose!! Spent a day stuck at a roadhouse in the middle of nowhere.. met lots of new friends and had just about every bloke there lining up to give us a hand with the repairs!!

One lil kid of about 10 said the magic words "WOW thats the most beautiful car I"ve ever seen... what is it??" He was my best mate after that, even let him sit in it and start up the engine n give her a few revs before I left!! He was grinning more than I was!!

So I got her down the dirt road just fine - it has heaps more clearence than I thought it would!!
The only hitch was that I was going to take her upto this big festival that we have on each year, and I was headed back up the road the next day when the left side rear spring bolt pulled though that washer & dropped the whole spring down onto the road!!! About two hours later we limped her home & I've been sourcing parts ever since!!

I just need the main leaf & new washers and rubber bits (not sure of the correct name) and away we go... For many more hours of driving the dream!

-ok, cant seem to attach pics for some reason :mad But will try again in the morning as I suspect its a strong case of UIM (User Induced Malfunction).

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Vette but sorry to hear of the mishaps QCaz. Try to look at it as a learning experience and bonding with your beast/baby. :L

I see Junkie posted the link to the photo uploading thread so I'll just wish you luck with the repairs and standby to see images of it. :thumb
