This is from today. I know, I know, terrible lighting. I'll take some more.

Here's how the day started...

I am excited for you.And the coolest thing is that most folks will not understand how you got such big tires under a stock c2 with out fender flares.

The flares you have got to be the coolest flares ever, when you finish the car and paint it (SINASTER SILVER) it will look like a stock 67

67HEAVEN... I wish I had the courage (& time & money) to undertake such a project. NICE WORK!!! :m

Thanks all for your generous comments. It's the encouragement from our peers that keeps us all moving forward.

Hard to believe that those front tires are P265/50R-15 on 8" wide rims, no? :eek They fit under there with plenty of room to spare.

I'm tempted to put P295/50R-15's on 10" wide rims on the front too. :D Course, then I really will need power steering.

Congratulations! That's awesome!

This may be a naive question, but why did you leave the block on the rolling chassis?

Erik,

During the conversion to a Richmond 5-speed (from the Muncie 4-speed), I had to fabricate a new rear transmission mount. The only way to get accurate measurements was to re-install the old block, the Lakewood block-plate and scattershield and the Richmond tranny.

Since it was all in there, I decided to leave it in for the test body-drop. The weight will provide a closer to real attitude while we perform the door, hood and headlight bucket fit.

Ahh, that makes lots of sense.

I've never done that much with a car, so. . . :D

That's going to be one awesome Vette when you're done!

67Heaven,

Great shot.

I'm sure most of the people here are anxious to see that beast finally come together!

It's great to see it (you) progressing

I'm sure it is going to be incredible.

Hey '67 Heaven-- I don't know if you have inspired me or really put the fear in me. I know you are proud and excited. More pics please.

Okay, keep us in suspense until chapter ??? I bet it will be black\red stinger. I'll bet a turkey leg on it ! Redeemable at Corvettes at Carlilse.

Looking good. Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel and it ain't a train.

Hey 67, it looks great sitting on the frame and as I said once before the flares are the best looking ones I've seen because they keep the beltline of the car looking original!

What's up? Aren't you going to tell us what color combination you decided on? Black/Bright Blue is my vote.
