Thanks I have seen a picture of this car before from the side. I like the hood a real lot. Some one took the time to graft the nose cone on, Looks great.

This is the way it should be done,Look like its a stock classical car till you real start paying attention to the small details.Originally I had planned on doing a 1967 big block hood,One of the members here vette actually sent me a nose cone to use for the hood,But the body shop who did my car said absolutely not.I took his advice I have been so busy since September I have not had a chance to touch my car. I promised my wife a new bath room for Christmas,I started it about a week ago should be done in another 2 weeks (if she picks out the tile) Then I should be able to get back in the garage for a while before I have to start traveling for work.

Thanks Again

I just got back on line as I had problems with my laptop and just recently replaced it,

A warning to every one BACK UP YOUR COMPUTER today, I got mine running again but had a real hard time recovering all of my pictures and data.

Larry " Back up your computer to-day " is the best thing I have heard for some time.

Before retiring in 1997, I had been in the computer business since 1980, and I am well aware of all the pitfalls that can be expected with our hard drives, and data. Knowing quite well that the normal, or should I say regular " back-ups " are sometimes few and far between, I went for a tried and true ( supposedly ) safe method of protecting my data.

Not content with having two physical hard drives in my machine, I recently invested in an additional system, by purchasing and installing an adapter card that actually mirrors your hard disk drive, and becomes a second complete clone of your first drive. This procedure is used in many large corporation, and LAN's so that if ever the principal drive is defective, the second drive is substituted for the first and the network continues to operate as if nothing had happened.

Sadly, in my case the problem was not hardware related, but rather a " Windows " files that was written in a corrupt fashion when shut down was initiated. As a result, the next time I booted the machine I got a " missing or corrupt file " error, and although I had a second complete drive, it also gave me the same error when substituted for the first. Talk about a shîtty situation. This cause me to have to complete loss of both drives along with the data that was not recoverable. Last week this caused me to be off-line during four days.

If any members have e-mailed me with important information, or specific requests over the last year or so, I would recommend that you look through your " sent messages " and re-send what ever was originally sent to me.

Sorry for the hijack, :eyerole but I needed to get the info out on this Forum.

BTW, I think the hood would look great on your car, I have the very same hood on three of my Corvettes.

Mine was multible mecanical failures,Data was still good but no way to get it off the hard drive.

My work network does automatic back ups using the mirror system and then a back up uploaded off site. I know you just have to back up. But for me its just never a priority on my laptop as there is just never an opertune time to do it.

I just put it in my outlock express to remind me monthly to do it. I will just burn the good stuff to a cd,
