Sorry Ray been out of touch. I've got too many projects going on. Was just thinking about your 61 FI project and was wondering how progress was going. It's probably already done if I know you.
Hi! Studiog
I was quite busy this summer and did not get much done on the Fuelie. The wife and I took the 61 270HP on an NCRS road tour to the BOSTON National Convention. Had a "
GREAT" time! Got to observer judge the 61's and picked up some great knowledge that will help me with my project.
Janet and I became grand parents twice this year (two grand daughters). So we had a couple of trips to Connecticut (grand daughter two) and Maryland (grand daughter one).
I did get the 61 FI off the frame, inspected and evaluated the parts that came with the 61 and created an inventory of parts needed. I purchased all the after market parts needed and had them delivered to Carlisle. (great savings on freight) I also purchased some original hard to find parts while there.
I took the frame to the sand blasting company yesterday and will pick it up tomorrow. Quick coat of DP-90 to protect it and I will set it to the side until I have all the suspension-steering components completed and ready for assembly.
That is about it as this point, I hope to posts some pictures and up-dates, but this is my busy time (work) and I have a hard time getting into the shop.
Gary, Thanks for asking and when do you start your next car project?
Ray
