HF 2 ton stand + LT1, slight issue.

I picked up one because I need to pull my LT1 from my 94 vette.


It holds ok but the darn thing won't rotate. You can see on the stand where the black bracket brace slides into the red brace that holds it.


The bolt on the left catches about 1/4 turn on the stand. I need to replace my oil pan and 1/4 turn won't cut it.


Bolts are on the right way per the manual, I am looking to see if maybe someone else has one and if mine is just luck of the draw, warped. You can clearly see the fine machining on this picture

I am hoping an extra set of eyes will let me see what I am possibly missing?

I believe that if you slide the tube out from the stand just enough to clear the nut it will allow it to rotate

Apparently the bolts holding the supports to the stand are reversed but your idea did work too, it just slides back afterwards.
