High-Flow Coupler

Just installed the silicone, high-flow coupler from WCC a couple nights ago. Anyone done this mod and noticed any difference in throttle response/power? I haven't driven the car yet.....just wondering if I'll notice any difference.

Also, will there be any mixing concerns with this straight-flow design? I'm sure the stock-accordion coupler was designed for durability (exspansion/flexing of the engine and assoc. parts) but I don't know if it's intent was for a certain mixture. Any info would be appreciated.

That mod is advertised to be worth 1.4% more horsepower on a LS1.

Even on my most valuable (personal) equipment, I wouldn't notice a 1.4% increase!

and in actuality, it's probably like 0.0%. It's more a cosmetic piece. I do like the way they look, but performance wise..... ??

VAmagred01, hopefully, you did not install the coupler for performance reasons. It is interesting that WCC includes the coupler in their Stage I - III packages, but not the Stage IV. I have the Stage IV package on my Coupe. With the right octane gasoline, it is a real kick in the pants. I also swapped out the stock torque converter for a Yank - if you punch it too hard, you will have problems with whiplash (but everyone will be about a 1/8 to 1/4 mile (or more) behind you...).
