Ok I got under the car and cranked the boost down tonight. In 1st-3rd gear it hangs around 54hgs....but in 4th the boost still goes to 57-59 hgs.
I got on it one time from 1st and went all the way to 4th and the boost stayed where its supposed to be. But if I started in 4th and squeezed on the gas it would overboost...57-59hgs.

Ideas? I guess I'll drop it some more, but I don't want to lose my 1st-3rd gear, cause they are MONSTERS right now.

Required Reading (almost)

The book "Maximum Boost", by Corky Bell, is almost required reading for all turbo car owners. I highly recommend this book, as it covers virtually all aspects of turbo-charging (from design to practical tuning, as well as some of the danger points). It also discusses some of the pros and cons between turbocharging and supercharging.

Check out this url: http://www.bellengineering.net/maximumboost.html

I have also seen the book for sale in Barnes and Noble.

You are probably experiencing something that Corky calls "Boost Creep". I think he describes several causes for this as well as some tuning and hardware solutions.

Sorry I cannot offer you some Callaway-specific (BTDT) type solutions.

hope this helps,

Steve
