Hey does anyone have some good info on Holleys? I recently put on a Holley 4150 and Im needing help on a couple of things. If someone has links to tuning one that would really help.

I cant seem to get the idle right. I tightened the screw all the way and have taken it out and it still idles too high. Im wondering if that means the float level is too high or the power valve is blown.

Also I needed to know what the 2 vacuum valves go to, the high pressure vacuum on the front and the low pressure one on the drivers side rear.

Ive been doing plenty of searches but all that good stuff on carbs seem to be gone from the history.

The idle jet adjustment does not set the idle speed. They are to set the air fuel mixture at idle only. If you can't get the idle down with the main throtle adjustment then check for vacuum leaks and the timing.

I guess Im confused then since I dont know much about Holleys. On the Quadrajet theres an idle control screw that adjusted the idle speed in front of the accelerator pump. Does this not work the same way on the Holley?

The idle speed adjuster is on the butterfly linkage. Where the throtle cable attaches not on the carb body. Sorry I don't have a picture handy to send you. The two screws under the float bowls on the idle air/fuel adjusters.
