I've seen & heard of different types of fuel filters... paper/glass/metal. Which is best to use? for a Holley 4150?

"tonk72": Don't use a glass filter. Those filters are not really designed for automobile use. These types of filters are usually seen in aircraft applications. Holley has a small porous filter inside some of their carbs, usually right where the fuel line connects. If you do use a in-line type filter, try to use one that has replacement filters. Billet Specialities makes a real slick looking in-line filter & when used with either braided or hard line, it almost doesn't look like a filter, sort of incognito. It also comes apart, so that you can replace the filter. There are also alot of aftermarket in-line filters to choose from. It's just how much your bugget can handle. Check places like Summit or Jegs. Good luck & take care.

I've got a stone filter element in my Holley 4175. They seem to last longer than the other ones.
