hood cable

My pull hood cable broke (72) , and is still intact up till release lever under hood. My question is can I thread new cable with handle through existing covering that cable goes through from inside , can't tape from piece under hood to hard to get tape around another piece of wire, plus the opening for the covering and plug to small? Thanks for any help ,Bob

Yes. Works a lot easier with a replacement solid cable than with the stranded variety.

Thanks Mike, then I'll buy a solid replacement cable with handle and thread it through casing from inside through firewall.
