Hood Prop

Where can I get the replacement plastic button for my hood prop? I need the orange piece for the later C4 prop

Hmmm... I'm using an '88-and-up hood prop and I didn't get an orange "button" when I bought mine. It was new too.

If your talking about in the middle where is the top half sets on . I have a 1990 and mine has nothing on it. Maybe someone added it ?

SoLow.... I'm not understanding what you're referring to---the parts books I have don't list any sort of 'orange' component. I know the early C4s had a smaller hood assist cylinder on the right side... Sounds like the previous owner added a space filler or something. I don't know.... Is there any way to contact the previous owner? I know this doesn't help you much... sorry.

I just got finished playing with a 90 and it did have the orange prop in the middle of the bar. You just pop it and it helps to hold the hood up. As far as finding a replacement... I'll look around.

This one came off of a late C4 and its the plastic pice that keeps it from closing once it is extended. It has push on it
