I am scarred for life! (or at least a long time).
I understand how you get Hooker side pipe burns on your ankles, and back of your legs....but on your inner forearm??????
Okay, here is the 411. While at the www.good-guys.com show last weekend, my modified hydraulic clutch was giving me trouble. I mean TROUBLE! It was all I could do to move the car around. We were selected as a winner on Saturday, and were requested to bring the car back to the winner's circle on Sunday. So, I was desperate to get something working.
The fluid level was fine, so I laid down a half a dozen wooden blocks, and drove the car up to get under it. There, I had access to the bleeder for the hydraulic release bearing. I had Nikki hop inside and do the deed with the pedal.
You know, when you get burned on these pipes, by the time you feel the heat....it is toooo late. Well, YIKES! I feel the pain on my right arm while I am up under the main plumbing of the exhaust pipes.
The good news is, I got enough air out to make it through the show on on the trailer.
The bad news is the burn is BAD!
The other good news is, I installed a new master cylinder on it yesterday and upon taking the old one apart, I found the front inner pressure seal was torn. The new one works like a champ.
