Here are a few shots of my new headers installed. Not a tough install at all. No dinging the headers at all. Only mod I had to do was cut two of the Stage 8 bolts a bit shorter to clear the tubes going in. Tell me what you think;

Not a lot of room, eh Rod? Looks good, bet it sounds good too! :upthumbs

OK, while I'm on a roll, how about a fuel filter placement and new fuel line pic?

Cool, I gotta work on my tubes when we pull the engine, so that I can get clearance for my plugs like you do! :L

Very nice Jinx:gap
I have a question ??
what was the AN config. all the way into your carb?
can you give a breakdown of what those AN fittings sizes are?
Im on the crux of an engine rebuild and am still not solid about what I will do with a total AN fuel line config.
If you have anything about that..
thanks,:w
Tom

Very nice

Hijinx,

Well done! Looks awesome. I suspect you are runing true-duals to the back end?? I could not make it a go with my L81 front "Y" pipe and the Headman Hedders I got (the "Y" pipe is too wide compared to the 15 1/2 " distance between the centers of my hedder collectors. On Monday I'll take the car to the muffller shop (full-open hedders) for a custom made "Y" pipe.

69,
I am running 6 AN fittings and 3/8 fuel line throughout. Looks good, is easier to connect and unconnect than stock hose. I will run hose and hard line from the fuel fitting back. But from it (the picture I posted) to the pump and up the the carb its all braided lines and AN fittings. I had a local hose shop make up the two lines I needed. They were expensive, but should last forever.

Gary,
Yes, true duals with Flowmaster 40's out back. I plan to have new pipe run between the headers and mufflers, probably 2 3/4 inch pipe. I am not running a cross over pipe. I just cant find where to put it.

Rod, I never noticed before that you are running single round exhaust tips per side on your Shark. Looks good! :upthumbs

Looks very good. Mind if I ask how much the conversion cost?

Joe

The headers were $625 from a local shop. I could have saved a few bucks ordering, but I knew that they knew the exact ones that fit my Vette. The Stage 8 bolts (they are the locking kind) were another $50. I expect the exaust pipe work to run me around $200 or so. So I have over $1000 wrapped up in the exhaust system if you count what I paid originally for the Flowmasters.
