I recently acquired a 1982 CE and the horn doesn't work. I can't find the horn to test. Any help locating appreciated.

Should be up by the headlights. One on each side.

Since both are not working I would say the problem is a bad relay or switch (or wire between the two). or a bad ground.

The relay is above the fuse panel.

Hi Ken,
firstly,Welcome to the :CAC and to CE ownership!

Secondly: Open the hood and look down into the nose between the lights.. We have 2 horns, one hi and one low pitch.. Top one is supposedly the low the lower one hi pitch..

I would second Antz though, if neither work, either fuse or relay, or the horn button on the steering wheel not making contact. Pop that off and see if the spring is there and if the contact on the steering column is there and test it with a wire connecting the two.
Hope this helps..

If they aren't there (like mine) look on the sides in front of the front wheelwells besides the radiator that is where mine are :)

Unfortunately, the later C3's located the horns deep inside the front fenders..Not uncommon for BOTH horns being inoperative because of age...You will have to uses some electrical 101 to locate the fault..Best place is to test at the horn relay..
