Hot Wheels container

[Vanity Plate Bob]

Anyone familiar with the Hot Wheels 1/18 shipping container. It's 6 inches round with a flat bottom as is the square boxes, where the car is mounted. The ends are separate black plugs and the tube is clear plastic. On top of ea end is a slot 5/8 by 2 or so. A piece of plastic that will fit in the slot comes with it. Slips in approx 1/2 inch.
But doesn't seem to accomplish anything.

There are 3 plugs on each end of the ''tube'' container. Remove the plugs, with small screwdriver or butter knife and small phillip screws are exposed. Take the screws out and the end is to come off.
No sure what the plastic piece is for. Fits in the slots but doesn't seem to have a purpose.
