There are two under each of my mirror bases and 5 or 6 on the back deck under the luggage rack. I can't get to the backside of the ones on the door under the mirrors due to an inner panel restricting access. How are these replaced?

Thanks

Well nuts have a rubber outer and threaded inner part to them. They are used where you can't thread the material such as on fiberglass. You just push them into place and tighten them up. When you tighten the screw, the rubber expands and holds them securely in place. When you loosen the screw, they are supposed to return to their normal shape where you can just pull them out. You don't need to be able to get to the rear of them, just pull them out the front.

70 LS1,

I will give it a try.
thank you very much !
