How can I fix this gas cap door?

How do I fix this? Got a 65 gas cap door take a look.

Otherwise you will have to drill and tap out the old one to install new parts like so:

Why fix it ? If it is still an original part it simply shows the soul of the car....so why remove that.

If you still prefer the looks of a new on go for a full repro and safe this timepiece.
