Just curious..How far would you normally travel to go to a car show? I know, many factors involved...but generally....Is 100 miles one way too far?

planning on going to a show far away?

I've entered a show 100 miles away.
The Ocean City, NJ boardwalk show last year.
Over 300 Corvettes lined up on the boardwalk.
I may do it again this year. :)

Dover show saturday about 60 miles one way, then the vettes in glasstown show sunday..about 70 miles....R U and Linda going to either?

450 miles one way....Atlanta Ga. to Louisville Ky. for a NSRA national event. They have over 12,000 cars there over a 4 day event. I do it every year along with a 220 mile one way trip to Knoxville for the event there.

LOVE street rods :W

We regularly travel quite a distance for judged Corvettes-only shows. We're heading to Lincoln, NH on Friday for a 3-day Corvette weekend which includes a judged show on Saturday. Distance is 150 miles each way. We did one in CT in July that is 135 miles from home. It's almost never too far for us!;)

I think 100 miles is fair, after that my back starts to go out a little. I've only spent about an hour at a time in the vette so far. At 6'2" its a little snug in there.

Andy:

Carlisle is about 98 miles from me and that would be my personal limit. It is of course a very personal decision. If you are trying to keep miles low on a driven vehical then it does become a factor. All in all I think 100 would be my limit, anything more and you could incur travel damage: chips, scratches on body, tire wear, etc.

I was looking for you at Thomas last Friday evening and saw your car but could not locate you...wanted to say hello.
