I Need to replace the input shaft bearing on my 67 Muncie. I have no special tools. It looks like the input shaft bearing may come out without complete disassembly of the trans. Can this be done without the tools? I know better than to rip into it without research.. Thanks, Kurt

You cannot do this w/o complete overhaul nor would it be worth it to try. If you need 1 bearing, then you need to replace both and all the other small parts.

yeah, Brian will tackle ANYTHING - the guy is absolutely fearless . . .

Thanks, I guess I will find a local rebuilder... The money keeps rolling out on these cars... Kurt

I purchased a video from a Muncie rebuilder (forgot the name) 2 years ago and it is quite detailed showing step by step what to do to do a complete rebuild.

If you think you are up for the challenge email me and I would be happy to let you borrow it for a few weeks.

If you are going to Carlisle I can give it to you there :)

Mark, I appreciate your offer. I will just spend the $$ and have it done. My luck is not real good right now... Thanks again for the offer.. Kurt
