How is the ride comfort on bumpy roads?

I am interested in getting a corvette. One of the things that I need to understand better before I get more serious about purchasing one relates to the ride of the Corvette. I live in an area where there are very few dealers and I would need to order a vette since non are available to purchase off the lot.

If you had to compare the ride in a late model C5 with or without MRSC to another car how would that ride be. I have a bad back and concerned that on a bumpy road the suspension would put a lot force on my back. I currently have a BMW 530i

Well I can sympathize with you. I have a similar problem. I own a 330 CiC, and a 2001 Corvette. And I can tell you that the BMW rides much harder than the Vette. I have the sport package on the beemer, which makes it even stiffer. (I can run over a dime and tell you if it's head or tails!!!)
The Vette rides very nice in comparison. If you are lucky enough to have the new magnetic shocks, you can adjust to your comfort or handling ability. Good luck. Mahalo

C Dogg - thank you very much for your reply. I can't wait to finally get a vette. Always wanted one from kid time.

The new technology on the F55 suspension with world class adaptative shock reaction times would be the choice for you since you mention that you have a bad back.

The entire C5 lineup since its inception has such a rigid chassis that the suspension engineers were able to tune the suspension for maximum tire contact to the road even with the Z06 suspension package and giving a very smooth ride. (as noted by the automotive press as well) Still...

All that said..I would recommend the F55 for you especially since you have a bad back. Why not take advantage of this amazing technology? To give you everything you want.

The best performance car in the market with technology that has an even more advanced suspension/shock technology that goes beyond even the Ferrari Enzo's adaptive shock technology..

Thats how good the F55 is.

Go for it!
