Does anyone know how to adjust the fog lights on a 98?

My right fog light points downward illuminating the bumper not the road and I didn't find anything in the owners manual stating how to do it. Thanx

you can easily access the fog light from underneath by removing a panel, its been awhile but you may have to remove the spoiler. I have heard that you can get at them from the top by taking the shroud off the headlights when they are raised, but it requires skinny arms :L
I replaced mine with PIAAs and did it from underneath.

Bossvette,

I replaced the headlight bulbs by reaching under the headlight assembly and that was rough going so I know I won't be able to reach the fog lights that way, I will have to get to them from the underneath the car.

Does the piaa fog lights cast a brighter light? Is it pretty much the same setup as OEM installation?

The OEM fog lights aren't that bright and seem to be cosmetic versus helping increase visibility in the fog.

I have a 1999 coupe - this is how to adjust the fog lights. Sit on the ground and look at the fog lamp lens. You will see a small torx fastener. Use a torx screwdriver (I think it is T-15) and turn the adjusting screw. If you park on a level surface and close to a barrier (garage wall or door) you can see the fog light beam to adjust it up or down.

Good luck - it is easy to do.

the PIAAs are very bright and illuminate a wide area, we get a lot of Fog in NW Ohio and they come in handy. the good thing abougt them is they are low. They are not a direct bolt in but require minor tweaking I bought mine on Ebay for @ $180 I also replaced my headlight bulbs with PIAAs much better light then stock.

99WhiteC5Coupe,

Thanx for the info, I found the adjustment knob for the torx screw and will adjust it.

Bossvette,

I think I will update to the PIAA lights as well.

Thanx for the help
