Help! how to check 1968 vette if its l88

many l88 parts hood with air box, carb,water pump, brakes. The engine was decked no numbers on block pad.

M22?
Tach with 6500-rpm red line?
Heater delete?
Radio delete?
J56 brakes?
103 octane warning sticker on console?
What axle ratio is in the car?
Any chance the tank sticker is still there? If so does it list L88?

The car belongs to my brother,,has copper radiator and fan shroud, has m22 trans, 6500 rpm tack, after market radio, has j56 brakes, no sticker, 411 axle. also a newer gas tank.
The car is buried in garage,,have to remove a ton of crap to get to it.

Someone could have installed a radio in a non radio car but rarely would anyone bother to add everything that was part of a radio equipped car. Look for noise reduction capacitors, ground straps, correct type '68 antenna in the correct location and other things that would tell you if your car came with a radio like radio shielding and brackets for it.

Does it have casting number 3919842 heads and are the casting dates correct for the build date of your car? How about the block casting date and number (93916321 early or 3935439 late)?

Radiator could have been changed also and shroud added.
