Easiest way is to pull the bulb.

I believe the cruise control fuse kills the light also - but then you don't have cruise control either.

Removing the bulb is harder but the 'fix' lasts longer without causing other problems.

There is always the option of fixing whatever the problem is.

Right.. it's more time consuming they hard.

But here is another way... A customer of mine did it he just bought one of those decorative C4 logo covers for the DIC and put a black piece of tape on the section where the light is. you would never realize it was there un less you looked hard for the tape.
