how to fix a power mirror

I have a 2000 vette. The passenger side power mirror does'nt go up and down. The left and right work, and the driver side works fine. I'm guessing its the motor for up and down???. How do I get behind the mirror without breaking it??...............thanks

I recently had to replace my passenger side mirror (the glass got broken). I found out that the glass part that moves is attached by four ball and socket joints that just pop out. Just take your time and go slow. Once you have the glass out of the way then you will have access to the motor. Fill free to PM me if you have any questions. Good Luck
