I went through the NCRS and my letter indicate that
the original delivery dealer was
Dealer code 611 in zone 9
how do you find out how decode this?

I typed the keywords dealer zone in the site search tool to see what I could come up with... this thread - http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com...l-discussion/49984-67-coupe-id-questions.html - mentions Zone 9 as being in the OH/IN area.

Sorry but searching for dealer 611 didn't produce the desired info.

This thread - http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/c1-c2-general-technical-discussion/45200-dealer-zone.html - includes an email address for a contact that has an extensive dealer zone and code database.

You may also want to explore the info available and post a listing in the CAC Owner Research Center to aid in your search: Corvette Action Center | Tech Center | Owner Information Center | Build Sheets | Documentation

Hope some of this helps until someone more knowledgeable comes along.

...Isn't that exactly what he is trying to find out? :ugh...

Yes. When the information is legible on the microfiche, the NCRS includes the name and address of the original dealer in their shipping data report.

If his letter does not contain the dealer's name, for all intents and purposes, the information is probably not available.

I asked the otherwise obvious question because we do not know what is on his shipping report.

location of my vette

Thanxs guy's
if i would have read the whole letter i got from NCRS
it does tell you at the bottom of the letter:L
i was able to search the dealer and found out after 43 years
later they still in business they was able to tell me some
more info! i thought it was pretty cool!
To sum it up in a nutshell NCRS is they way to go if you want to find
out where your vette was purchase from!:thumb

You got lucky three ways: 1.) the NCRS had your information, 2.) the dealer is still in business (a lot of them are gone now), and 3.) after all this time, they still had information about your car.

Good deal.

Maybe then you could add your details to the NCRS database for the next guy. Was the dealer somewhere in Ohio?
