Can anyone direct me to a page here where there is an article on how to pull C6 diagnostic codes using the DIC?

Someone sent me a link on this site on how to pull C5 codes earlier this year.

Is it like my C5? Same button push sequence or did Chevy change it?

Any help will be most appreciated.

Paul

Disregard.

The Junkster enlightened me about pulling codes.

Thanks Jesse!!!! :upthumbs :beer

Sorry, on the C6 it no longer can be read with a button combination. You will need a hand held reader or an OBDII program for your laptop/computer.

Same with the tire pressure sensors training, not a magnet thing anymore.

Thanks. This really infuriates me. :mad

G.M. can go pound sand.

If they can fix my C5 then all the better. I may have to look for another C5 if totaled. Which I doubt it is after talking to Junk. But I will be hesitant about buying a C6. There’s a lot I don’t like about them. The headlights, no ability to do diagnostics, a virtually sterile cabin. It is a LOT different. Why did they mess up a good thing? :mad

Paul,
Sorry to hear about your wreck.
But as for messing up a good thing I'm not sure about that. I had a C5 before I got my C6, I would take the C6 any day. I know that is just my opinion but have you driven one?
Hope everything works out for you.

Thanks.
I liked my C4 but I love the C5 much more.
I come from an airline background, aircraft cockpits.
To me the C5 is a lot like a cockpit of a 777.
The C6 on the other hand is similar to a lowly Cessna 172.
I've sat in boatloads of 'em but never drove one.
The power and handling don't really get me excited, I like the way a C5 looks. The exterior is sexy, the interior is lush.
The C6's interior to me is Spartan. Plain, it looks as plain as my mother-in-law's Hyundai.
when I'm in my car it's like flying, you become one with the machine.
Maybe I could get used to a C6 but w/o all the buttons and gadgets it's not the same.
Just my opinion for what it's worth. ;)
