How to quiet holley electric pumps down.

I believe in electric pumps but not their reliability. I always run 2 with seperate switches and like a plane check each pump by itself when running.
Anyway electric pumps can be noisy so I got these dampeners. They are used but can be bought from any bolt supply house. They have a variety of dampeners. YOu just need one with the right bolt pattern
These are two flanges joined to gether with an inch of rubber.
I put a bolt through the center of one flange and bolt it to the frame. I bolt the pump to the other flange.
I do not hear my pump when the motor is running and only a slight buzz when priming before starting

electric fuel pump

Thats a good tip! I have that on a to do list for another car I have. I like the electric fuel pump but hate the constant buzzing. Everyone I have talked to said all manufactureres pumps are noisey so switching to a different pump won't help. I have it mounted on rubber gromets but it's still loud. Figured I would have to muffle it some how. Have to check out your idea. Thanks

My method of of silencing them is to leave them on the speed shop shelf where they belong. I bet there's not one car in a hundred on the road that actually needs the output of an electric pump. Mechanical pumps work just fine, IMHO.
