"How To" reference

Can somebody please direct me to a good general reference book / manual that can show me some basics, i.e. replacing a broken power lock switch, door handle.... I'm new to the Corvette world, and could use some of your wisdom.

Usually the best reference for the older Vettes is the actual GM Service or Chassis Manual. It's my bible on the '68 and the '04.....no offense to the Chilton's and Haynes people (as I have used them also) but having one from the General seems the way to go.
Another great investment is the Assembly Manual that you can pick up almost anywhere, Ecklers, Zip, Corvette Central, etc.....these are invaluable when it comes to knowing how to put it together (or in our case, take it apart).
