How to remove cargo mat targa stops??

Hi

I'm looking to take the two plastic stops that the targa top rests on in the cargo area. The manual said to turn them counter clockwise to lock in. So l turned them clockwise to take off.
Well l turned them clockwise then what, l tried to pull them straight up but it didn't happen and l didn't want to brake anything.

Keep screw'n with them Alan,They will come out!! Mine were tight the first time or two!!

For some reason l can take a house apart and put it back again but to take out plastic stop becomes a big deal. What l was concerned with was breaking it and the way GM is l would have to drop my engine to replace it. Only kidding!

So all l have to do is play with it and pull upward to free it?

I just had a hell of a time geting mine out !! Turn 90 deg. Lift on Fat end!!
