how to remove hazard knob ('81)?

Hello everybody,

I'm disassembling my steering column and I came to the point where i need to push the hazard knob inside to remove it. Seams easy but it doesn't work for me. Could somebody explain it a little better so I understand what to do? Thanks

should be a little phillips head screw in the middle of the knob unscrew it,and it should come out...

I look in the parts catalog at the new part to help find how is attached, like the screw that you did not see at first. Of course the AIM helps the best if you can not find an article about the repair you want to do.. Do you subscribe to any corvette magazines?? They have HOW TO articles every month.

No subscription to any magazines but I have the Repair and Assembly manuals. Both manuals didn't mension a screw inside the knob but no problem. I found good info on disassembling the steering column on the corvettefaq.com
