I've written two threads recently about replacing some injectors! I'm going to be putting it all back together tomorrow morning. What is the best way to get the injectors with the "o" rings seated without screwing up the "O" rings?

From what I've read, I'll be seating them in the rails and then putting the rails in....is that correct?

Thanx for all the help

Silicone lube on the O rings helps a lot. FIC says not to use oil on them, in time it damages the O rings.

Just installed a set of injectors. FIC recommended dish liquid hand soap. Worked perfectly. Used a q-tip to apply on both surfaces. Avoid twisting, rocking is AOK. The order of install (i.e. rail first) depends on what type injectors you are installing. If they require the locking clip, then all 8 get mounted on the rail first. Bosch IIIs do not use the clip and mount first into the manifold. After you get the injectors installed, test for leaks before proceeding. Bleed the rail a few time to extract any air. Good time to check for injector leak down as well.

Just had the vette out for the first time in 2010!!! New injectors that I installed over the winter from FIC are very responsive to throttle changes.
